Our General Manager will have the expertise of keeping our fine tuned manufacturing facility flowing at a smooth pace to accommodate our Clients in the Tennessee Valley. Serving Athens, Cullman, Decatur, Madison, Huntsville, Scottsboro and surrounding areas in North Alabama.

Position Overview We are seeking an experienced Cabinet General Manager to oversee daily operations of our Madison manufacturing facility and drive continued growth. This key leadership role will manage production, sales, design, and support teams to ensure efficient operations, superior product quality, on-time deliveries, and exceptional customer satisfaction. The ideal candidate is a strategic leader with deep knowledge of custom cabinetry manufacturing, strong business acumen, and a passion for building high-performing teams in a family-owned environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee all aspects of operations, including production (building, finishing, CNC, sanding, assembly), design, sales, delivery, and maintenance departments.
- Develop and implement strategies to improve efficiency, reduce costs, and increase production capacity while maintaining our commitment to hand-crafted quality.
- Manage budgeting, forecasting, inventory control, and procurement of materials from trusted suppliers.
- Lead, mentor, and develop a team of designers, craftsmen, sales representatives, and support staff; foster a collaborative, safety-focused culture.
- Ensure compliance with safety standards, OSHA regulations, and quality control processes.
- Collaborate with ownership on business development, expansion plans, and long-term growth initiatives.
- Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) such as on-time delivery, customer satisfaction, and profitability.
- Handle customer escalations, builder relationships, and showroom operations (by appointment).
- Drive continuous improvement in processes, technology integration (e.g., design software, CNC equipment), and employee training.
Requirements
- 7+ years of progressive leadership experience in cabinetry, woodworking, furniture manufacturing, or a related custom building products industry.
- Proven track record as a General Manager, Operations Manager, or Plant Manager in a manufacturing environment (custom cabinetry strongly preferred).
- Strong knowledge of cabinet production processes, materials, finishes, and industry trends.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills with the ability to motivate teams and build relationships with clients/builders.
- Experience with budgeting, P&L management, inventory systems, and lean manufacturing principles.
- Proficiency in relevant software (e.g., design tools like AutoCAD/SketchUp, CRM, Microsoft Office).
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Operations Management, or a related field (preferred; equivalent experience considered).
- Valid driver’s license and ability to pass background check and drug screen.
- Local to the Madison/Huntsville area (no relocation assistance available).
