Combining traditional craftsmanship with modern technology, including advanced CNC machinery, we create personalized, American-made solutions in our Madison facility.Position OverviewWe are seeking a skilled CNC Operator to join our production team. This role involves operating and maintaining CNC machines to precisely cut, shape, and prepare components for our custom cabinetry. The ideal candidate has experience in woodworking or manufacturing CNC operations, a strong attention to detail, and a commitment to quality in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Set up, operate, and monitor CNC routers/machines (e.g., using software like Mastercam or similar) to cut wood panels, doors, drawers, and other cabinet components from blueprints and design files.
- Load materials, adjust machine settings, and perform tool changes as needed.
- Inspect parts for accuracy, quality, and adherence to specifications; perform minor adjustments and troubleshooting.
- Maintain CNC equipment through routine cleaning, lubrication, and reporting maintenance needs.
- Optimize nesting and programming for efficient material use and minimal waste.
- Collaborate with designers, builders, and other production team members to ensure timely completion of orders.
- Follow safety protocols and maintain a clean, organized work area.
- Assist in inventory management of raw materials and tooling.
- 2+ years of experience operating CNC machines in a manufacturing environment (woodworking, cabinetry, or furniture production strongly preferred).
- Proficiency with CNC software (e.g., Mastercam, AlphaCAM, or similar) and ability to read blueprints/technical drawings.
- Knowledge of woodworking tools, materials (hardwoods, plywood, etc.), and cabinet construction processes.
- Strong mechanical aptitude, problem-solving skills, and attention to detail.
- Ability to lift 50+ lbs repeatedly and stand for extended periods.
- High school diploma or equivalent; technical certification in CNC operation a plus.
- Valid driver’s license and ability to pass background check and drug screen.
- Local to the Madison/Huntsville area (no relocation assistance available).
